Thanks to my previous volunteer position at FPYN, I realized my passion to share relevant information amongst communities that don’t always have the access. Information sharing officially started on my personal Facebook in 2014 and now I have an active following of community members and friends who share my posts and tag folks that might be interested in the post.
The moment confirming the demand for my opportunity curation was when I received my Facebook 2014 Year in Review Top Posts. My top post wasn't a personal one, it was a job description!
My online posts range from jobs/employment to professional development opportunities to community programs to grants and funding.
In my roles as communications director and youth outreach worker, it was my duty to creating reoccurring newsletters outlining updates and future opportunities that were delivered to all of the constituents who subscribed online.
